Margalit Gould

Margalit is a sales & marketing consultant at Root Orange. When she is not helping small businesses look big and grow big, she is a first-year MBA student at the Robert H. Smith School of Business – University of Maryland, concentrating in Marketing.

Before returning to graduate school, Margalit worked for five years at Aon Corporation in Washington D.C., specializing in underwriting and brokering for industries including non-profit social services and fine arts. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 2004. In her free time, Margalit enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, going to movies and concerts, and watching sports.

Daniel Nieves

Dan is a Social Media Marketing intern at Root Orange. He will be graduating from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland in May 2010 with a degree in Business Administration (concentration in International Business) and a minor in Spanish. Before joining the team at Root Orange in 2010, Dan gained some practical Marketing experience with organizations such as Verizon Telecomm and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield.

Dan has a real passion for social media, in particular how it can be used to help businesses grow. In his role on the Root Orange team, he is utilizing social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to help increase brand awareness as well as enhance customer engagement.

Dan is a fitness enthusiast and a personal trainer. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, running and outdoor activities.

Tiffany Simms

Tiffany Simms is a sales and marketing representative with Root Orange.  In this role, she coordinates market segmentation, communications, and customer relations for Root Orange.  A big believer in innovative solutions to challenges in small business, Tiffany is an experienced marketing and communications professional who is completing her coursework toward an MBA in Marketing Management from Johns Hopkins University.

Tiffany is also no stranger to marketing to diverse customer bases, having spent years as a public/external affairs manager and a marketing communications specialist, which taught her the importance of getting the right message to the right audience in the right manner.

Before joining Root Orange in 2009, she worked for eight years for a diverse range of organizations including non-profits, a publicly-chartered real estate corporation and a sports and entertainment management company.

Passionate about helping small businesses succeed, Tiffany joined Root Orange in order to provide business owners the tools to increase client leads and maximize their online footprint with minimal investment. Her varied background in creating marketing plans and identifying new business opportunities provided the perfect foundation for collaborating on the development of Root Orange’s market entry strategy.
